A young man discovers that his father was from another dimension and that he is the key to the operation of a crystal that can be the deciding factor in a war crossing the dimensions - and that's where the thrill ends.
This sounds like a good idea for a movie, if this was a book (un-researched) it might be an ok book, but as a movie, this is a total failure. I've never really understood those people who can appreciate a B or C movie, even more so, those people who go out of their way to watch them just because of this.
Starring Rutger Hauer is not a good start, other than Blind Fury, I'm not aware of anything worthy of his, but I thought I might give this movie a chance based only on the premise of the story, I got about 35 mins into it and had to stop. Wooden acting, horrible CGI, a short stint from Jack Black as an A-typical drunken college student and a protagonist who is at odds with everything make the entire 35 mins very uncomfortable and unlike-able.
